Ten80 STEM Experience 27 Sept

Selected JROTC cadets will be attending a half-day Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Field Trip at the Waxahachie Civic Center on September 27th. Each attendee must complete the prerequisite seminar questions and turn in a waiver for photos and medical coverage at the event. See complete LOI Ten80-STEM-Exp-2018-Dallas_Event-Guide_v1. The United States Army is a Gold Label sponsor for the event. Students learn about Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and their uses. experiment with drones in Real Estate and Law Enforcement. Learn how computers respond to binary code by building your own project circuit wafer board. Learn how Arduino is used to control small robotics microcircuits. Ask key questions about technology leadership in the Sciences. Talk with experts in Network Administration. See how engineers design using SolidWorks and AutoCad 3d software. Help build a robotic system. The purpose of the STEM Experience is to excite students about career opportunities in the scientific world. There is no cost for lunch. Please return waivers no later than September 4th to be eligible to attend. This event is co-curricular to JROTC Syllabus SRA Unit 3, Chapter 9, Lessons 1 thru 3 entitled “STEM Career Planning Strategies”. (Pearson-Prentice Hall, 2015)
